Description
The special glue developed for the tree protection against creeping insects. Vermifix is being used for monitoring and detection of attacks or the occurrence of insect pests - Flea beetles, Whiteflies, Aphids, Weevils, Fungus gnats, Thrips, Leaf miners, Cherry fruit flies, ants, caterpillars and Scale insects on the fruit trees, in greenhouses, vegetables, house plants and field crops.
Product use
The adhesive is applied to the tree trunk using a spatula or, whilst warm, with a brush, to form a continuous adhesive strip around the circumference, approximately 0.6–0.8 mm thick, with a maximum width of 5 cm. This creates a barrier that prevents crawling pests from reaching the tree’s crown and causing potential damage to the fruit.
Apply only to a dry trunk, at least 50 cm above the ground. Apply only to fruit trees. The glue may only be applied to the mature bark of trees or shrubs! Follow the instructions strictly.
The glue can also be applied in a thin layer to a backing to create a sticky sheet, which can be hung in the tree crown or stuck into the ground next to the plant.
Product benefits
The glue is efficient at places where bands for tree and plant protection cannot be used. It is convenient for protection of shrubs and young trees with thin trunks where adhesive bands are difficult to be placed. It makes a 100% barrier even on rough tree trunk. It can be used on young trees only if the trees already have their outer layer of bark (rhytidome).
The parameter of stickiness and adhesive power of the glue is optimally set up to ensure the glue catches insects well and at the same time it can be easily apply on the plants. Our glue has high resistance against the sunshine that usually causes a quick degradation of these kinds of glue. When the glue is exposed to the direct sunshine it keeps its adhesiveness for a long time.
The glue is non-phytotoxic (not harmful for plants) and can be safely used directly onto trees and plants. The glue is registered and certificated with relevant authorities.
